BuildReels ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use buildreels.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth) when you create an account.

Content you provide: Topics and scripts you enter to generate videos. These are stored to display your history and improve the service.

API keys (Pro users only): If you provide your own OpenAI API key, it is stored encrypted in our database and used solely to make API calls on your behalf.

Payment information: We do not store your payment card details. Payments are handled by our payment processor (Paddle or Stripe). We receive only a customer ID and subscription status.

Usage data: Number of videos generated, plan tier, and general usage patterns to operate and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To process your video generation requests
• To manage your subscription and billing
• To enforce usage limits per your plan
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts)
• To respond to support requests
• To improve and maintain the Service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate BuildReels:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy
• OpenAI — AI script generation and text-to-speech voiceover. Your topic input is sent to OpenAI to generate content. OpenAI Privacy Policy
• Pexels — royalty-free stock video footage. Video search queries (keywords extracted from your topic) are sent to Pexels. Pexels Privacy Policy
• Paddle / Stripe — payment processing. Payment data is handled directly by our payment processor and never stored on our servers.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generated reel records for as long as your account is active. Generated video files are stored in Supabase Storage and may be deleted after 90 days to manage storage costs. You can delete your account by contacting us.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary to maintain your login session (provided by Supabase Auth). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage, secure HTTPS connections, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy
